Hey, all – Mid-Century Vibe is now on Etsy. We decided to open an Etsy shop in order to have a place online to offer our small mid-century items (a.k.a. “smalls”). As with any fledgling business, we’re sure there will be things we have to tweak as we go along, so please bear with us.

Etsy has a policy that if an item is offered in an Etsy shop, it must be sold through Etsy, so we won’t be offering these items elsewhere unless a listing expires. (We hope the items sell before that happens!) Have a look-see and enjoy some mid-century goodness in smaller sizes.

Jens Risom Side Chair with Caned Back

This side chair designed by Jens Risom is in very good vintage condition with new foam and upholstery. It would be an excellent “playmate” for the “Playboy” chair we also have available. 🙂

There is one small break in the caning on the back (see detail image).

Jens Risom C140 “Playboy” Chair

The July, 1961, issue of Playboy Magazine featured six of the days’ finest modern designers, among them Jens Risom and this is the chair Mr. Risom chose to pose with…. well….not this particular chair, but…..you know. This example of the Risom C140 is in very good vintage condition and has had the seat reupholstered with new foam and a fabric similar in color to that of the chair with which Jens posed.
