Van Gaard Painting: Musical Instruments

Original art work dated 1967 from Van Gaard Studios with a musical theme featuring lutes, a lyre, and a clarinet (at least we think it’s a clarinet). The front of the work is signed “Van Gaard” in the upper left corner and there is a label on back which reads “Original Painting by Van Gaard.” There is also a stamp above the label which reads “C. Van Gaard Studios, Inc., 1967″. Overall dimensions are 35.25″ x 45.25”.

Vintage Foredom Dental Drill — Vintage Dental Drill

Mid-Century Steam Punk? We think so. This estate find is a vintage dentist’s drill which (as far as we can tell) was made by Foredom. The base measures about 6.25″ square and this awesome piece of industrial goodness stands about 30″ tall. It is not in working order (needs a new cord) and we have opted to leave it as we found it; grime and all. It just seems to make it more…steamy and punky. Open wide!
